This two day workshop will be given by a practitioner who has successfully implemented Lean programs and will give you the practical tips you will need to ensure yours is not in the 65%. It will not only look at the tools and methods but also at the softer side of Lean – motivating your team, creating the environment for positive change and recognizing when, where and how to acknowledge improvements.

Trainer Profile
Dermot is a Master Black Belt practitioner of Lean and has worked for Irish, German, Japanese and several American organisations across the food, medical device and FMCG sectors. He has developed their Lean strategies and then implemented them. He is also a Certified Scrum Master using the Lean techniques in the software development sector. He lectures Lean Tools & Techniques in the Lean Black Belt Program at UCC and he is mentor to all of the students throughout their program. He is a regular contributor to other Black Belt programs particularly in the area of Lean Strategic Deployment.
Dermot is an engineer for over 34 years and he has been involved in all aspects of Lean since the early eighties. He has implemented Lean programs across a multitude of disciplines and processes. He has developed strategic plan implementation programs that allow each level to see how their objectives are a real and tangible part of the overall goal.
Dermot has worked for Kerry Co-Op, American Hospital Supply, Baxter, Odlum Group, Oral-B, Olympus, Beckman Coulter and Danaher Corporation. As a mentor he has worked with Kepak, Depuy, The Defence Forces, Reagecon, Jansen, GE Healthcare, MSD, Pepsico & Coca Cola. He contributes a column on Lean to “Manufacturing Ireland” every month and is a regular blogger on all matters Lean.
